West Midlands Archaeology is our flagship publication, available free of charge to all members of CBA West Midlands. The journal is a comprehensive round-up of archaeological activities within the region including summaries of work undertaken by both the commercial and voluntary sectors, as well as separate articles on items of interest.

Past copies of West Midlands Archaeology now available online

Past copies of all volumes from Volume 1 for 1958 to Volume 62 for 2020 are now available online on the Archaeology Data Service (ADS) website.

To access these:

• Enter the URL https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/library/browse/series.xhtml?recordId=53&recordType=Journal into your browser
• Click on the journal which you wish to download (with a single click – a double click brings up an error message!). Note that volumes 1-11 are called West Midlands Annual Archaeological News Sheet and volumes 12-22 are called West Midlands Archaeological News Sheet.

• This brings you to the issue link for the journal which you have selected. To download the full journal click on the Downloads section. The Abstract section gives a summary of the contents of the journal.

Our thanks to Jenny Britnell who assembled the material for deposition, wrote the abstracts and undertook the preliminary liaison with ADS and to Kieron Niven, Data Services Manager at ADS, who oversaw the deposition of the volumes onto the website.
