Our annual News from the Past event is usually held in March, and has a range of talks about archaeology in the region, as well as displays from local societies. Previous events were held at Carrs Lane Church Centre, Birmingham – however, our 2023 event will be held at The Priory Meeting Rooms, Bull Street, Birmingham.

    This year’s event includes presentations on recent excavations in Coventry, Berth Marsh Fort, the archaeology of Sutton Park, Arthur’s Stone, finds from the Portable Antiquities Scheme, Nescliffe Hill Fort, Iron Age Warwickshire and more.
  • 06/03/21 – News from the Past: Online
    This free online day school, hosted by Wessex Archaeology, featured talks about the latest archaeological discoveries from around the West Midlands, with a special appearance by Phil Harding.
